"My present is intertwined with the stories that my parents and grandparents used to tell me about their childhoods in Palestine, the simple games they used to play at their doorsteps and the pleasure of walking in the shade of the olive trees and through the alleyways. Trying to reconnect with that part of my history, and looking at photos of Palestine, I reconstruct what I saw of the breathtaking landscape and the unique architecture of domes, minarets, steeples into paintings which exude a scent of Palestine."
