About the Film

We like life Tomorrow

A short documentary film about the lives of three Palestinian families (from Gaza, Jenin and Hebron) living under conditions made difficult by the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the siege of Gaza.

The film director gave each family a video camera and asked them to film their daily lives for one week. The families had no prior experience shooting video but were provided basic instructions in operating the camera.

The film provides a rare window into the private lives and suffering of millions of Palestinians.

About the Film Director

Ismail Habbash wrote and directed many feature, documentaries and educational films, long and short, in addition to drama series.

The films participated in Arab and international festivals and competitions, and some of them won awards from the Cairo International Film Festival, the University of Iowa Festival in the USA, and the Rotterdam festival in the Netherlands.

Currently, he is working on a long documentary that will be filming the road that Jesus walked from Nazareth to Bethlehem, and compare what he saw with what one sees today. Ismail believes that the cinema is a tool to express a person's problems and issues, and an effective mechanism for positive social and cultural change.
