Free virtual screening of the documentary film "Miriam Margolyes Visits Palestine," produced by Karl Sabbagh.

About the Film
In 2010, the British Jewish actor, Miriam Margolyes, visited Palestine with the charity Action Aid, which she has supported for thirty years. This interview, including footage of some of the places and people she visited, highlights the passionate support she has given to Palestine and Palestinians over the years, and includes comments and criticisms of Israel’s actions which are as relevant today as they were then.

Miriam Margolyes is a renowned British-Australian actress, born on May 18, 1941, in Oxford, England. With a career spanning over five decades, she's known for her versatility on stage and screen, particularly in eccentric comedy roles.

Margolyes' notable roles include Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter franchise, Mother Mildred in Call the Midwife, and her BAFTA-winning role in The Age of Innocence. She's also voiced characters in animated films like Babe and Mulan.

A talented voice actress, Margolyes has recorded numerous audiobooks, including Oliver Twist and Great Expectations. She's written several books, including her memoir This Much is True, which sold over three million copies.

Margolyes is openly lesbian and has been in a relationship with Heather Sutherland since 1968. She became an Australian citizen in 2013 and divides her time between homes in London, Kent, Robertson, and Montisi, Italy.
