About the Film
In the heart of occupied East Jerusalem lies a Palestinian neighbourhood at the centre of a decades-long struggle against erasure and colonisation. Home on the Edge of Sheikh Jarrah follows Nuha Attiyeh and her family as they navigate life under the looming threat of forced displacement by Israeli settlers and state authorities. Through firsthand testimony, the short documentary by MEMO's Jehan Alfarra captures the daily reality of life under Israeli occupation in the neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah and the unyielding spirit of its families refusing to be erased.
